
At The Cable Center, we strive to share our exceptional educational programs with the wider community beyond the cable industry. We’re proud to work with secondary schools, higher education, cable industry leaders, and others to spread the word about the achievements and innovations of the cable telecommunications sector. To this end, we’ve established strong working partnerships with more than a dozen cable networks, which resulted in dozens of screenings, educational panels, and seminars.
We want to make sure that as many people as possible have the chance to understand, to enjoy, and to benefit from our resources. Here are just a few examples of our outreach events—and the diverse audiences they serve:

Featured guest speakers for the cable industry breakout session were Jeff Wayne, President of Great American Country, and Erica Stull, Director, External Communications, Adelphia Communications. |

Students from inner-city schools participated in the Hispanic Heritage Celebration. The festivities included lunch, special screenings, and an interactive discussion. Student teams also created a photo art collage that embodied their own Hispanic heritage. These were later judged by Denver community leaders and artists. |

Students and faculty from Denver high schools and universities enjoyed the High Definition 101 course from Discovery HD Theater head, Clint Stinchcomb. Stinchcomb detailed the innovations and challenges of high definition, as well as how students can begin their careers in the cable industry. |

The inaugural use of the outdoor Roger’s Amphitheater drew the local community to listen to live music and watch an eclectic selection of independent films. Local bands entertained the audience before each special screening. |

A co-sponsorship and sports equipment drive supporting the fight against childhood obesity. Special guests from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Denver were treated to a healthy dinner, free games at the ESPNZone, and met local sports heroes. |
