The Cable Mavericks Lecture Series, a program started in the Jonathan M. Levin Programming Institute in 2005, continues connecting students and cable executives on university campuses. As of the end of 2012, we hosted 58 lectures on college campuses across the United States – from Michigan State to the University of Texas; UCLA to Syracuse – and everywhere in between.
In 2013, we refocused our mission on university faculty, but with less emphasis on the student population. Many of the wonderful lectures presented since 2005 are captured here in the Program Archives.
In 2011 and again in 2012, The Cable Center presented the re-launched ACT (Academic and Cable Telecommunications) Forum at NCTA’s annual Cable Show. Based on the Academic Seminar, which had close to a 20 year run at NCTA’s Cable Show until 2007, the ACT Forum was 1.5 days filled with panels sharing information about recent and upcoming developments in technology, distribution, and programming.
The Program Archives contain photo and video highlights from the Cable Mavericks Lecture Series.
