The Cable Center continues to add artifacts to the equipment collection located in the 3,375-square-foot Technology Archive and Viewing Gallery. From the Viewing Gallery, visitors can peruse the open archival shelving, which holds groundbreaking cable technology artifacts, equipment, and components that demonstrate the evolution of cable television technology over the years. These pieces of equipment are arranged in the order a cable signal travels – from antenna to set top box. The Technology Archive is a central repository for hardware relating to cable’s remarkable evolution from a video provider to a broadband service.
