The Oral History Collection offers a unique source of documentation about the development of the cable industry and the current state of the industry. These first-hand accounts, direct from industry leaders, trace the history of cable from its beginnings to the present.
Launched in 1985 at Pennsylvania State University, the Oral History Project is continuing in the Denver headquarters of The Cable Center. A generous gift from Gustave Hauser in 1998 established the Hauser Foundation Oral and Video History Project. The Oral History Collection now has a total of more than 200 video and audio recordings, many of which are available online. These offer invaluable primary source material for research, study and teaching.
