1998 – The inaugural Cable Television Hall of Fame was held May 3 at the National Cable Television Association’s National Show in Atlanta, Georgia. The first honorees were George Barco, Bill Daniels, Irving Kahn, Bob Magness, Martin Malarkey, and Milton Shapp.
