Media Collection

The Barco Library Media Collection contains over 5,000 audiotapes and videotapes in VHS, Beta, U-matic and digital formats. The collection consists of a wide variety of material including speeches, lectures, and interviews from people involved in the cable industry. It also contains material from information sessions and panels from cable industry conventions, training tapes, advertising, and cable network programming.

A vital portion of our media collection is found in our extensive archive of cable programming. We invite you to explore our inventory of network programming as you peruse our media collection.

Reel to Reel »

Early reel to reel programming is a valuable part of The Center's media collection, featuring the vast variety of cable technology through the years. One early reel to reel found in our collection is from the Texas Television Cable Association, an organization founded in 1960 to bring together the cable community in Texas.
