The World Premiere Screening, Presented
by the Programming Institute at The Cable Center and Discovery
HD Theater
The Programming Institute was pleased to partner with Discovery
HD Theater (DHDT) in the premiere showing of Arctic Mission:
Voyage of the Sedna on February 17, 2004. First in a series,
Voyage of the Sedna took viewers through the legendary Northwest
Passage aboard the ship Sedna IV to explore this beautiful
region of the world. The entire screening was shown in the
latest HD (High Definition) technology.
Before the screening, Mr. Clint Stinchcomb, Senior Vice President
and General Manager of Discovery HD Theater, was a guest speaker
for the HDTV Seminar attended by local arts and sciences students
from the metro Denver area. The seminar focused on the current
state of HD, the various technical formats and challenges in
conversion, and the changes HD has caused in production techniques
and practices. |
