The Cable Center Names Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2016

DENVER – The Cable Center announced today the members of its Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2016. The seven newly elected industry leaders will be inducted during the 19th annual Cable Hall of Fame celebration, held in conjunction with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) Internet and Television Expo (INTX), May 16-18, 2016, in Boston.

Cable Center Names Jana Henthorn President and CEO
Effective January 2016

Henthorn will succeed current president and CEO Larry Satkowiak, upon his retirement, on January 1, 2016.

The Cable Center Adds Five Oral Histories to Collection:

Terry Cordova, Craig Cuttner, John Evans, Steve Friedman and John Goddard Share Their Stories

DENVER, August 2, 2015 – As part of its Cable History Project, The Cable Center announced today the addition of five oral and video histories into The Hauser Oral History Collection. The five histories compiled are from Terry Cordova, Craig Cuttner, John Evans, Steve Friedman and John Goddard.
The Hauser Oral History Collection is the only repository of first-hand accounts direct from industry leaders about the creation, expansion and current state of the cable industry.

Larry Satkowiak to Depart The Cable Center at End of 2015

President and CEO Retiring

Satkowiak joined the staff in late 2003 as chief financial officer and became president and CEO in 2005 at the request of Bill Bresnan.

 TLC’S “Say Yes to The Prom” Comes to Denver’s Cable Center  and Abraham Lincoln High School

Over 500 Dresses Needed During Dress Drive on January 31st

DENVER, January 14, 2015 – TLC’s national program SAY YES TO THE PROM is coming to Denver and The Cable Center has been chosen as one of five partners by TLC’s parent company Discovery Communications to host one of its 2015 events. Now in its fourth year, SAY YES TO THE PROM will give a select group of deserving girls from Abraham Lincoln High School the opportunity to develop mentoring relationships with industry professionals, build their self-confidence, self-image and of course, “say yes to the prom dress.”
