Media & Entertainment Co-Working Center Launches in Denver
The Cable Center Announces MediaAMP @TCC
DENVER, Feb. 1, 2017 – The Cable Center, a nonprofit organization serving the media and telecommunications industry, announces the launch of MediaAMP @TCC in partnership with AMP10x. MediaAMP @TCC is a contemporary co-working experience for the media and entertainment industry whose goal is to accelerate people, businesses and ideas through community.
MediaAMP @TCC delivers a unique and curated collaborative experience – one that inspires, educates and supports both established and new media ventures.
The co-working center, located on the second floor of The Cable Center at 2000 Buchtel Blvd., Denver CO 80210, will officially open March 1. Operating hours will be 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with special events in the evenings and weekends. Additional co-working times will be available by appointment. Applications for memberships are now open on the MediaAMP @TCC website.
“This endeavor is especially significant as it allows The Cable Center to do what we do best – connect dynamic people with one another in an educational environment,” said Jana L. Henthorn, president and CEO, The Cable Center. She added, “Our location and facility are especially well-suited to support innovation, learning and connection in an industry in which we are well established.”
“Creativity and technology are synonymous, resulting in an entirely new segment of innovators, ready to learn and collaborate,” said Maria Popo, founder of AMP10x and president of Ubee Interactive. “For that reason, MediaAMP @TCC also provides educational and professional development opportunities centered on entrepreneurship, emergent digital practices and human-centered innovation.”
MediaAMP @TCC is a natural expansion of the unique Cable Center assets like the Barco Library and in-house archives. From the Technology Studios, which include audio and video production to the Pirate Studios focusing on virtual reality, coding, 3D scanning and more, The Center provides a one-of-a-kind learning and innovative environment, designed to help co-working members grow and succeed.
“MediaAMP @TCC is the place to co-work, co-learn, co-innovate and co-create with the media and entertainment industry,” said Henthorn.
During the month of February, MediaAMP @TCC is offering complimentary work or study day passes. The passes, available online, offer the opportunity to explore the co-working center and see our video, audio and virtual reality studios, weekdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
