Co-founder of CNBC and 23-year veteran of NBC Universal. Bridget Baker is the CEO of Baker Media, advisory and consulting firm focused on media and tech companies. Prior to establishing Baker Media in 2013, Bridget had a distinguished career at NBCUniversal where she co-founded financial network CNBC and served for 20-years as NBCU’s president of content distribution. As a key senior executive overseeing the company's $5 billion subscription revenue business, Bridget is credited with helping to establish one of the most valuable content portfolios in the world. Bridget was the first and only woman to serve as a director on the board of Alaska’s largest diversified communications provider, GCI of Alaska, from 2013 to 2018, and serves on several other nonprofit boards including her alma mater, Pitzer College, and The Cable Center in Denver. She is the recipient of numerous industry awards including the “Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership.,” considered one of the industry’s top honors. Bridget’s roots are in Alaska and she began her career on Capitol Hill as an aide to the late US Senator Ted Stevens. Bridget lives in Los Angeles with her husband and family.
