Connecting People and Ideas—NCTA, DU, and The Cable Center Come Together
On April 3rd, we welcomed the NCTA Public Affairs Committee at The Cable Center for their quarterly meeting. In the spirit of connecting people and ideas to advance innovation, we hosted a joint panel and roundtable entitled, “2020 Vision of the Cable Industry Today & Tomorrow,” which discussed how the industry is currently adapting and changing in the era of disruption. Students from University of Denver joined us in the audience, as well as some of our esteemed IA alumni. Panelists included the following Public Affairs Committee members: Kristin Buch, Senior Director, Industry & Association Affairs, NCTA; Mark Bell, VP, Industry & Association Affairs, NCTA; Leigh Woisard, SVP, Corporate Public Affairs, Cox Communications; Amanda Morris, Director, Marketing & Public Relations, RideTV; and Peter Kiley, VP, Affiliate Relations, C-SPAN.
DU’s Chancellor, Rebecca Chopp, sat down with The Cable Center’s president and CEO, Jana Henthorn, for a vibrant fireside chat after dinner. It was lovely having the NCTA Public Affairs Committee in Denver, together with our DU friends, Board of Directors and cable industry colleagues. We look forward to new opportunities to connect at The Cable Center!
