Friends of The Cable Center,

We find ourselves in the most challenging of times. Many of us are working from home, balancing extraordinary demands, and navigating a new normal. Intrapreneurs in Action

Kristin Buch, Senior Director, Public Affairs, NCTA
Graduate of Intrapreneurship Academy, Class 2

Kristin BuchIn 2018, NCTA – The Internet & Television Association – began implementing new strategies that included a strong component focused on building corporate membership. When Kristin Buch joined IA Class 2 in the spring of 2018, she knew her project would be involved with this new and bold initiative.

The challenge Kristin identified and decided to tackle through her IA project was how NCTA could manage communications with its members more efficiently. Kristin Turner, IA Class 4 graduate, applied this traveler wisdom by using her IA project to create a training program to engage and retain the HR and Communications people at her company, Liberty Global.

As Director of People at Liberty Global, Kristin has created training programs for many of Liberty Global’s employees, but until she participated in IA Class 4, she hadn’t done so for her own People and Communications (PAC) team.
The problem she came to the class with was, “How can we better engage our PAC team so that they can grow a career at Liberty Global?”

Inspired to Invent Our Future
Jana Henthorn | February 3, 2020

Jana Henthorn, President & CEO, The Cable CenterFriends of The Cable Center,

It was four years ago this month that I took the helm of The Cable Center as president and CEO. The years have quickly passed, but the privilege and opportunity are as clear and present now as they were on day one. If you have been to The Cable Center, you know. From the moment you enter our physical space, you gain a sense of time and purpose. The Daniels Great Hall inspires and the view of the Rocky Mountains stirs our collective spirit. Yet, the real motivation comes from the stories of grit, determination, and independence shared by the original entrepreneurs who defined the way we connect, work, learn, and live.
