The Cable Center Announces New Intrapreneurship Academy
Program Extension: IA - Company Track
IA - Company Track’s 8-week program teaches teams of cable industry rising leaders at the same company how to innovate within their organizations.
DENVER – March 5, 2019 – The Cable Center has developed a new company-focused extension of their highly successful Intrapreneurship Academy (IA) program, IA - Company Track. IA - Company Track teaches individual contributors as well as entire teams within the same organization the process of innovation and how to work together as intrapreneurs. With the goal of driving innovation, productivity, and success within the same company, IA - Company Track is ideal for organizations who want to retain their top talent, cultivate indispensable teams, and empower rising leaders.
“As a logical extension to the Intrapreneurship Academy, we are excited to offer a customizable, company-specific version of IA,” said Janice Silver, vice president of programs and marketing at The Cable Center. “This way, entire teams, or multiple teams within an organization, can learn and apply the innovation process to larger organizational efforts.”
“As I’ve been talking to folks in the industry about IA, several have expressed an interest in bringing a class into their organizations,” said Jana Henthorn, president and CEO of The Cable Center. “This is a great way to jump-start innovation projects, especially for organizations looking to nurture a culture of innovation.”
IA - Company Track is applicable to all departments, teams, and individual contributors working within the same organization. From engineering to marketing teams, to people managers to process managers, to even cross-functional teams, IA - Company Track is a unique, one-of-a-kind program that enables organizations to nurture successful employees, build effective teams, and reach new heights through intrapreneurship.
Similar to IA, IA - Company Track combines in-person and online facilitated self-study where participants from the same organization work together through real-world projects. Participants complete each tailored learning module over eight weeks. The program culminates with the creation of an innovation business plan that the newly minted “intrapreneurs” can implement within their organization.
Since its launch in 2017, IA has grown into a gold standard industry program, and has graduated a total of 59 intrapreneurs. IA and its Company Track extension are part of a larger umbrella initiative at The Cable Center, the Community of Innovators (COI), which connects people and ideas and advances innovation through educational programs and supportive resources.
The Cable Center is now accepting online applications for IA Class 5 and is offering an Early Bird Registration Discount, which ends March 15. To apply, visit www.cablecenter.org/ia.
